Wietske Van Osch

Wietske van Osch is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Media and Information at Michigan State University and a visiting professor in Information Systems at the IESEG School of Management (France). She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc/MPhil in Organization Science from the VU University in Amsterdam and a Ph.D. in Information Systems/Economics from the University of Amsterdam Business School.

Her research has been acknowledged with many prestigious awards, including awards from the ACM SIGMIS, Academy of Management, and Association for Information Systems. She is primarily interested in the organizational effects associated with Enterprise Social Media technologies for boundary spanning, collaboration, and innovation. Current research projects involve extensive industry collaborations with companies including Steelcase and Leo Burnett Detroit and have been published in premier information systems and communication journals, including Journal of Information Technology, Information and Management, Computers in Human Behavior, and Communications Monographs.
